Incoloy 926 (N08926) nickel-based alloy rods, round steel, forgings, polished parts processing.
Incoloy 926 Material Introduction
Incoloy 926 is a high-performance nickel-based alloy, which belongs to super austenitic stainless steel and has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Its chemical composition mainly includes nickel, chromium, iron, molybdenum, copper and other elements, among which the nickel content is usually 24.0-26.0%, the chromium content is 14.0-18.0%, the molybdenum content is not less than 6%, and the copper content is not less than 1.5%. In addition, it also contains titanium and aluminum.
Chemical composition and physical properties
The chemical composition design of Incoloy 926 enables it to perform well in extreme environments. High content of nickel and chromium provides good corrosion resistance and machinability, the addition of molybdenum enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing media, and copper improves the strength and corrosion resistance of the alloy13. Its physical properties are also very excellent, with a density of about 8.1 g/cm³ and a melting point between 1320-1390℃. At room temperature, the tensile strength of Incoloy 926 can reach 650 MPa, the yield strength is 295 MPa, and the elongation is as high as 35%.
The main chemical components of Incoloy 926 include:
Nickel (Ni): 24.0-26.0%
Chromium (Cr): 19.0-21.0%
Iron (Fe): Balance
Molybdenum (Mo): 6.0-7.0%
Copper (Cu): 0.5-1.5%

Corrosion resistance and application areas
Incoloy 926 performs well in a variety of corrosive environments, especially in halide media and acidic media containing H2S. It has high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It can also effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and has excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosion in common oxidizing and reducing environments. 23. Due to its excellent performance, Incoloy 926 is widely used in many industrial fields, including marine engineering, chemical equipment, oil and gas extraction, fire protection systems, seawater purification systems, cellulose pulp production, acid gas production, flue gas desulfurization systems, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid production, etc.
Processing and heat treatment
Incoloy 926 is suitable for cold, hot and machining, but due to its high strength, high-power equipment is required for processing. The workpiece should be kept clean during heat treatment and avoid contact with low-melting-point metals. The solution treatment temperature range is 1150℃-1200℃, and the most suitable temperature is 1170℃. The cooling method for materials with a thickness greater than 1.5mm is water quenching, and materials with a thickness less than 1.5mm can also be cooled by rapid air cooling.
